Okay, I have updated my blog finally. There has been a lot going on so I have just been to tired to post my stuff.
Ethan has been fighting us hard. He has a 15 year-old attitude and it's driving me crazy! Anyways, he has also been fighting us whenever it's naptime and bedtime, just not wanting to go to sleep. So I decided to get rid of his nap. He has actually done really good not having one. But he still doesn't want to go to bed at night. At least it's been a bit better. He hasn't been sleeping good this week because he had an allergy attack and has had a stuffy/runny nose, and not being able to sleep at night. Makes for a very tired Mommy and Daddy. He is starting to feel better, so hopefully we will be better sleep soon. Ethan is also completely potty-trained. I haven't really updated that here, because most people I have already kind of talked to about it, so it's not breaking news. We are very proud of him for having made it through it. We started training in January and were done the end of Feb/early March. Very good and he hasn't wet the bed at night. He will wake us up if he needs to go during the night. Don't ask me how we did it, I don't really know. We did just end up putting him in underwear and let him have accidents. I guess it worked.
Most recent news is that we are down to one car. Our truck stopped running well, so we took it to the shop, and the price to figure out what was wrong and what it would cost to fix was just too much, so we decided to just cut our losses. I am really bummed about it because I have to depend on my mom if I need anything during the day, and that's just not fair to her. So, if anyone wants to give us a car (heehee) we will take it! Hope everyone else is well in cyberland!

Happy 2nd Birthday Brooke!
Last Saturday, we celebrated my niece, Brooke's 2nd birthday. It was held at a park in Rancho Cucamonga. We had a really good time, but there was some slight drama. We got there, and it was a bit breezy, so I immediately went back to the car to get jackets. When I came back, I saw Jason walking with Ethan and Lily to the restrooms. So I wondered what happened. They were on these spinning chairs (picture later) and both kids fell off at the same time, into the sand. Sand was everywhere, but Ethan road rashed his forehead pretty good. Not enough to slow him down though.
Slide of death. As Bart said, "This is a lawsuit waiting to happen." This slide has no business being in a park. There are no side to protect the kids from falling off and it is about a foot wide. I think if I tried to go down it, my butt would hang over each side. (I know, not very flattering, but I think the same would be true for any adult butt.) And there are no rails to help you climb up the thing...it is a ladder. It was more like an art structure than playground equipment.
Sara got a clown to come and do painting and balloons. At first Ethan was scared, but after he saw others getting stuff with the clown, he was all over it. He got Batman painted on his arm.
After the kids went through the clown about 10 times, I decided I deserved a little fun. I actually started the trend of adult face-fainting for the day. I got a pretty butterfly.
Okay, here is a picture of Sara spinning Bart on the spinning chair thing that the kids fell off of. 2 seconds after this, Bart was in the dirt. LOL!

Disneyland!
Last week we went to Disneyland because Jason had a day off, so we made a day of it. We intended not to stay all day but we ended up leaving around 6pm. Who knew? Anyways, I will write as I go, so you will know which pictures go with what.
After Aladdin, we rode Monster's Inc. and then decided to go see Playhouse Disney. It was a pretty good show, but you have to sit on the floor. The knees don't work so well on us anymore...heehee. It was pretty good, but it was also packed. Nice to see once, but I don't think we would go again.
Disneyland! We went to Disneyland because we have been wanting to go to Pirate's Lair (previously known as Tom Sawyer's Island). Everytime we have gone, it has been closed. Jason kept talking it up, and I had a very "whatever" attitude, but when we finally got over there, I see what he means. It is an amusement park inside of a park. If you have high energy kids, this is the place to go. Lots of things to see and explore. Very much like a nature hike. But if you are claustrophobic, don't go. There are caves in there that are a very tight squeeze.
Ok, there was this cool ray of light coming in one of the caves, and I HAD to try and take a picture. Only problem is that I didn't have a tripod, and my camera doesn't really take pictures like that. So this is the best I got. Not bad, but it is blurry. I had to turn the flash off to get it.
Cool waterfall at the base of the treehouse. Jason took this picture. His version came out better than mine.
So we had a GREAT time and hope to go again soon, but it will be awhile since we have been super busy and will be super busy!
We went to California Adventure first and decided to go see the Aladdin show there. We thought it was going to be a tiny little production. NOPE! This was like an off-broadway production. It was really good! And Ethan sat through it good also.
Here is Ethan in his seat.
Seriously, go see Aladdin if you can it was really good and the guy who played Genie was AWESOME! He made the show incredible. Here is Ethan in his seat.

Ethan was doing his marching band thing he does down main street. Do I have a future drummajor? Hahaha!
